To my Friends and Fellow Equestrians,
As you may know, I have been involved in the Monterey Horse
Park Project for several years and have had the privilege
of serving as a Board Member since April of 2007. The project
is well underway to becoming a reality. The Park will be
located on 395 acres of incredibly beautiful and pristine
land at the former Fort Ord Army base near the edge of Monterey
Bay. We have plans for an international level equestrian
competition grounds, equestrian related therapy, equine
rescue facilities and a state of the art veterinary hospital.
A museum, and other horse related demonstration facilities
will be built to bring the general public to the park and
make it a vacation destination spot for families and individuals.
Construction of the MHP is slated to start in 2010 or 2011,
just a few short years away. We are currently in our pre-construction
phase; biotic and environmental studies, preliminary construction,
site development plans, and numerous public agency requirements
need to be complete before we can put a shovel in the ground.
The Monterey Horse Park would like your support! The Board
of Directors has just launched the Monterey Horse Park membership
program- This is your chance to make a difference by bringing
a first class equestrian facility to your back yard and
to make Northern California a premier year round equestrian
destination!
