Area VI Young Riders is having a successful year. The
goal at the beginning of the year was to increase membership
and to expand the programs and benefits offered to all
Young Riders in Area VI The Young Rider Team Challenges
have resulted in members at all levels of competition
receiving prizes worth hundreds of dollars. At competitions
this spring clinics have been offered in horse management
for all levels to make Area VI Young Riders a educational
and competitive program.
The fund raising activities we have held so far this
year Pancake Breakfasts and Rent a Young Rider have been
designed to support the entire Young Rider Program.
We are holding a Silent Auction to benefit Area VI
Young Rider North American Junior Young Rider Championship
Teams at the Woodside Horse Trials May 23-25. The
cost to send two teams to the Young Rider Championships
is close to $65,000. Our goal in our fundraising effort
is to make Championships affordable for any potential
candidate to attend. We want to send candidates that are
the best qualified and most likely to help their team
win a medal, with complete financial backing.
What can you do to help?
We are asking all trainers/barns to donate a basket for
the silent auction. This can be for you, your horse, to
eat, for play---use your imagination. The trainer/barn
that receives the highest price in the silent auction
will receive a free day of schooling at 3 Day Ranch for
their entire barn.
Contributions from individuals are also more than welcome.
Consider donating lessons, handmade crafts-jewelry or
whatever your special talent is to the auction.
We will of course also accept cash donations.
Please contact Margie Molloy to donate an auction prize,
at mmolloy@3dayranch.com
or 714-342-0040. We would like to include all the basket
descriptions in a program, so let us know what you have
in mind by May19th.
Thank you in advance for your wonderful support.
