The Beginner Novice horse awards
The Senior Horse Award is donated by Christine Schallmo. Choosing to commemorate her first year in the Eventing world Christine has donated this trophy to be given to the highest scoring Senior beginner novice horse.

The Novice Horse Awards
The Junior Horse Award is the "Judgment Cup" sponsored by Lexie Ng & Cayla Kitayama in honor of Cayla's first horse, the "sweetest horse ever".
The Senior Novice Horse Award is "The Grace under Pressure Trophy" donated by the Wallner Family.


The Training Horse Awards
The Junior Horse Award is donated by the Lauppe Family and is called the "Ben Arthur Perpetual Trophy".
The Senior Horse Training Award - is now sponsored by the Elena Flaharty and family for her dedication to the sport of eventing


The Preliminary Horse Award
The Preliminary Horse Award is the "Cyrano Perpetual Trophy" donated by Brian and Lisa Sabo. "Cyrano" was ridden by Brian between 1965 and 1971 winning 11 Preliminary and Intermediate Horse Trials and Three Day events. Cyrano was USEA Area 6 Horse of the Year in 1969.


The Intermediate Horse Award
The Intermediate Horse award is called the "Stillwater Perpetual Trophy" named after one of their special mount.  This award is donated by Bea and Derek Di Grazia.


The Advanced Horse Award
The Advanced Horse trophy is donated by former USEA president Charles Lloyd in memory of his own equine partner "Malarkey".


Awards for the Rider

  • Advanced Young Rider is donated by the Whitlock Family.
  • Intermediate Young Rider is donated by the Leonard Family.
  • Preliminary Young Rider - The "Liberty Perpetual Trophy" has been donated by the Walton Family.
  • Adult Amateur Preliminary Rider - Needs a Sponsor – contact Dawn Benson if you are interested!
  • Adult Amateur Training Rider is now sponsored by the Elena Flaharty and family for her dedication to the sport of eventing.
  • Adult Amateur Novice Rider is sponsored by Eventful Acres-where adult riders have more fun and opportunity for learning then anywhere else.

Horse & Rider of the year
The "Thorn Perpetual Trophy" has been donated by Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Wilson.


Special Awards

  • High score Mare Brian and Lisa Sabo in 2000, donated this award in honor of their successful mare "Dior's Christensen.”  "Dior" was ridden through Advanced by Lisa from 1993-1999.  "Dior" was two-time Area 6 horse of the year.
  • High Point USPC Member "Hugs Come First Trophy" is sponsored by Mary Lou Reese
  • The McKinlaigh Cup- sponsored by Maxance McManamy and Christie Kelly to honor the generosity and commitment of our Area VI owner(s) for their dedication to provide extraordinary horses to riders in our sport.  The 2009 winner of the McKinlaigh Cup celebrates owner, Tracy Bowman and her horse Killian O’Connor, ridden brilliantly by Jolie Sexson.
  • High Score Pony "The Miyo Cup" is donated by Earl McFall and the MacNaughton Family.
  • The Irish Sport Horse Trophy called the "McKinlaigh Trophy" is given by Rainbow Ranch in recognition of the handsome and talented Irish competitor McKinlaigh.
  • The Appaloosa Trophy is the "Sasquach Perpetual Trophy" and is donated by Linda Christensen in the name of her appaloosa ridden by Derek DiGrazia at the world championships.
  • The Morgan Award "The Morgan of the Year" donated by Dragon Fire Farms.
  • The Adult Amateur Rider Rookie donated by the Scoring Chix and awarded to the adult amateur rider newest to the sport of eventing.  Riders must have verification from the USEA that this is the first year they are competing in the sport of eventing.


All award winners must be from Area VI and they must be members of the USEA to qualify.
